He has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, establishing new distribution channels, launching branches, and nurturing customer relationships. Abrar's expertise spans a wide range of areas including accounting, financial analysis, risk management, credit administration, and relationship management. Throughout his career, Abrar has held senior executive positions at leading banks including AlBaraka Bank, Burj Bank Ltd., Faysal Bank Ltd., and Allied Bank Ltd., where he managed extensive branch networks, developed robust processes for talent acquisition, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. Abrar's accomplishments include achieving 100% Bancassurance and Wealth Management targets, leading top-performing regional teams, and consistently driving business growth through strategic initiatives and effective leadership. Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Abdul Haseeb Fakih is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in the insurance industry and the broader corporate sector, backed by strong academic and professional qualifications. He holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (Szabist) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from the University of Karachi. His professional credentials include an Associate designation from the Life Management Institute (ALMI) by the Life Office Management Association (LOMA) USA, with the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) in progress, and a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, with over 150 credits towards the Advanced Diploma. Mr. Haseeb's strategic insight has been pivotal in steering the revival of PGI, where his leadership continues to shape the company's operational excellence and longterm growth. Throughout his illustrious career, he has held senior leadership roles in major multinational and local insurance companies, including Commercial Union Assurance, AIG - New Hampshire Insurance, IGI Insurance, Saudi Pak Insurance, and Dawood Family Takaful Limited. His expertise spans critical functions such as Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Risk Management, and Training & Development, reflecting his multifaceted understanding of both operational and strategic dimensions of the insurance sector. Mr. Haseeb's deep knowledge of insurance and takaful regulations, risk management, and governance frameworks has been crucial in ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability within the organizations he has led. His ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver innovative solutions has consistently driven business growth. Under his leadership, PGI has reestablished its presence in the industry and is now poised for sustainable growth, driven by innovation and a customer-centric approach. Executive Director
Mr. Ali Shahzad is an accomplished insurance professional with over a decade of expertise in leadership, business development, and strategic growth within the industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University, Canada, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, and a Master of Laws in International Business Law from the University of Bedfordshire. Renowned for his ability to optimize operational efficiency, conduct comprehensive market analyses, and implement transformative business strategies, Mr. Ali has consistently demonstrated his capacity to craft impactful communication and engagement strategies that align with key market dynamics. In his role as Assistant General Manager (Development) at IGI Insurance Company Ltd., since January 2022, Mr. Ali has been instrumental in securing high-value insurance contracts, leading teams to achieve company objectives, and overseeing underwriting and claims operations with a focus on strict compliance to legal and regulatory standards. Previously, as Assistant Vice President (Marketing) at Askari General Insurance Company from 2013 to 2021, he played a key role in expanding the general insurance portfolio by acquiring new business, managing claims efficiently, and cultivating a strong corporate culture. Now serving as the Chief Operating Officer at PGI, Mr. Ali’s strategic vision and leadership have been integral to the company’s revival. His forward thinking approach not only ensures PGI’s resurgence in the competitive insurance market but also lays the foundation for sustainable growth and long-term success. His influence continues to drive PGI's transformation and position it as a rising player in the industry.
Independent Director
Mohammad Asad Javed is a highly experienced professional with over 33 years in the insurance and reinsurance industry, renowned for his dynamic leadership and strategic foresight. He has effectively implemented operational strategies that have driven significant organizational growth. With extensive expertise in managing large-scale operations, Mr. Javed’s proficiency encompasses reinsurance, underwriting, claims management, client relations, and profit and loss oversight. He is widely recognized for his exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication, and strong negotiation capabilities at all business levels. Throughout his illustrious career, Mohammad Asad Javed has held prominent positions in multinational insurance firms, including Seib Insurance & Reinsurance Company in Doha, Qatar; Malath Cooperative Insurance & Reinsurance Company in Riyadh, KSA; Global Insurance Consultants in London, UK; Islamic Arab Insurance Company (IAIC) in Jeddah, KSA; and EFU General Insurance Limited in Pakistan, among others. Mr. Javed’s educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Economics, both from BZ University in Pakistan. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII) in the UK and a Senior Associate of the Australia & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). Additionally, he holds a certificate from Swiss Re on ELRAC. His professional training includes serving as a regular speaker at national forums organized by the Export Promotion Bureau of Pakistan on the "Role of Insurance in Exports" during 2000 and 2001, as well as participating in leadership and time management programs. Mr. Javed has attended various seminars held by reinsurers, along with significant conferences such as “GAIF” and “FAIR.” He has also undertaken courses on anti-money laundering, fraud awareness, and preventing financial crime in insurance through Thomson Reuters
Director
Mr. Naeem is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience across both the private and public sectors. Since May 2018, he has served as the Executive Director of Hope Field International Pvt. Ltd., where he has played a critical role in shaping the company's operational strategy. His leadership has been marked by the establishment of strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and strategic partners. He has also been instrumental in improving organizational efficiency by streamlining processes and building a productive team environment through strategic hiring and training initiatives. Prior to his current role, Mr. Naeem held a prominent position as the Director of the Labour & Human Resource Department for the Government of Punjab from 2003 to 2018. In this capacity, he successfully mediated industrial disputes and led landmark settlements involving major corporations such as Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts, Nestlé Pakistan, and Walls [Unilever]. His tenure also included roles as a Registrar of trade unions and a Returning Officer for the Election Commission of Pakistan. He was actively involved in policy-making, administrative oversight, and conflict resolution in labor relations. Mr. Naeem began his career as a Technical Inspector for the Government of Punjab (1989-2003), where he improved health and safety standards. He also gained experience as an Assistant Engineer at Descon (1988-1989), overseeing project execution, budgeting, and quality assurance. Mr. Naeem holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the Institute of Administrative Sciences, Punjab University, Lahore, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore. His expertise spans general administration, financial management, risk management, labor laws, and industrial relations.

Syed Ali Naqi is a dynamic and highly skilled legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. Before assuming his role as Company Secretary at PGI, Mr. Naqi gained invaluable expertise at various prominent law firms. As a Senior Associate at Naqvi & Co. Advocates & Corporate Consultants, Syed Ali Naqi represented clients in multiple legal forums, including the High Court and Sessions Courts. His responsibilities encompassed drafting complex legal documents, conducting thorough research, and providing strategic legal counsel. He also honed his skills as an Associate at AUC Law Firm, where he built a solid foundation in commercial contract negotiation and advisory services, contributing to high-stakes legal matters involving insider trading regulations and governmental tender processes. His early legal career included positions at Ali Sibtain Fazli & Associates and an apprenticeship at Shaukat & Shaukat Law Associates. In his current capacity as PGI's Company Secretary, Syed Ali Naqi leverages his robust legal background to ensure the company’s compliance with regulatory frameworks while supporting its strategic initiatives with sound legal counsel. His comprehensive experience, commitment to excellence, and deep understanding of the corporate sector make him a vital asset to the leadership team.
