Mr. Muhammad Shahzad Habib is a seasoned insurance professional and entrepreneur with over 30 years of leadership experience across insurance, textiles, and investment management. He is the majority shareholder and sponsor of The Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited (PGI), where he has played a pivotal role in the company’s strategic revival and operational reactivation in 2024. Mr. Habib began his career with Central Insurance Company in 1988 and later joined EFU General Insurance in 1990. Rising through the ranks, he became Head of the South Punjab Division in 1998, where he transformed the business from a PKR 30 million deficit into a premium portfolio of PKR 1.35 billion. At PGI, his vision and commitment to corporate restructuring, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth have been instrumental in re-establishing the company as a credible player in Pakistan’s insurance sector.
